The ZenVideo app for Zoom gives you the opportunity to back up your Zoom cloud recordings directly to your ZenVideo account—no more downloading to your computer, then logging in to ZenVideo to upload. Once your recording is on ZenVideo, you’ll have access to our video player, collaboration tools, customizable privacy, embed settings, and much more.
See the Zoom hub page to read more about this integration.
⚠️Note: If you delete a video that is stored both in Zoom and ZenVideo in one location (e.g. Zoom), it will NOT simultaneously be deleted in the other location (e.g. ZenVideo). This goes both ways.

How to connect Zoom to my ZenVideo account
- To set up the ZenVideo app for Zoom, you’ll need to have an account on ZenVideo and recording permissions on your Zoom account. If you do not have recording permissions enabled, contact the owner of your Zoom account.
- Click here to install the ZenVideo App for Zoom.
- Go through the setup flow, accept the terms, and then you’ll see the installation confirmation page. After installation success, you’ll land on your Zoom Recordings folder (or assigned folder during installation).
- Once installed, you’ll be able to select Record to cloud on your Zoom meeting. This cloud recording will transcode and upload to your connected ZenVideo account after your meeting recording ends.
- After your video finishes transcoding, it will appear in the Zoom Recordings Folder on ZenVideo, where you’ll be able to access all our tools for sharing and collaboration.
⚠️Note: If you are a team member on an Enterprise account, your recordings will upload to your My library folder by default. You can then edit any settings on it before moving it to another folder on the account as desired. If you are a team member on a non-Enterprise account, your recordings will upload to the assigned folder during installation.
Zoom Recordings on your preferred team and folder destination
In order to select the preferred team and folder destination for your Zoom recordings, you will be prompted to make this selection while first installing the ZenVideo App for Zoom.
Upload defaults
You will be able to change your preferred team and folder destination for all of your Zoom recordings from your existing settings by navigating to Upload defaults in your ZenVideo account settings and then choosing your preferred default settings
At this time, it is not possible to choose which meeting view of your Zoom meeting is recorded and uploaded to ZenVideo. The view is chosen automatically in the following priority order:
- Shared screen with speaker view
- Share screen with gallery view
- Active speaker
- Gallery view
- Shared screen
Zoom recording privacy settings
All videos uploaded from Zoom will have the default privacy setting Private. You can update the recording's privacy setting after it uploads to your ZenVideo account.
Can I connect multiple Zoom accounts to one ZenVideo account?
It's only possible to link multiple Zoom accounts into one ZenVideo team account if you have a ZenVideo Enterprise account with Video Library enabled. In that instance, a Zoom Recordings folder will be created in each team member's 'Private to Me' folder after they install the ZenVideo app on Zoom and record a meeting. Those recordings can then be edited and moved into another team folder in the ZenVideo team account.
If you do not have ZenVideo Enterprise with Video Library, then installing the ZenVideo app on Zoom ties one Zoom account to one ZenVideo account, with each ZenVideo account having its own Zoom Recordings folder.

Email notifications
You will receive an automated email once the app is installed on ZenVideo. The Go to my Zoom settings button will take you to Zoom where you can update your Zoom profile and other settings.
Once your Zoom meeting ends and the cloud recording is fully uploaded to ZenVideo, you will receive an email notification that the Zoom recording is available on ZenVideo. You can select Go to video to view your Zoom recording on ZenVideo. You can trim, share, and add comments to your Zoom recording just like any other video on ZenVideo.
Upload quality
Read about how Zoom determines the resolution of the recording from Zoom support at 'Resolution of Recorded Video'.
What can I do if only the speaker's view is being recorded?
If your Zoom meeting recordings only show the active speaker's video and not the shared screens, go to your Zoom recording settings and enable the "Record active speaker with shared screen" option. This will ensure that future recordings capture both the speaker and any shared content, providing a complete record of your meetings.
