This article discusses how to create a live event on ZenVideo. You can stream live events on ZenVideo, whether using our in-browser production studio or a third-party encoder.

Recommended tools and software
To stream live video in up to 1080p HD on ZenVideo, we recommend:
- A camera
- A microphone
- An Advanced, Premium, or Enterprise (with Events added) ZenVideo plan.

Creating a live event (Desktop)
To create an event from the Home page:
- Select the Host button from the panel located in the top center of the page.
- Enterprise users: From either selection, select your event format: a live stream or a venue. Read about the differences at About the differences between live broadcasts and venues.
- Choose a setup option that best suits the needs of your event:
- Set up from scratch: Choose to start a new event from a blank canvas and manually configure your settings.
- Choose event type: Choose from recommended settings that match different events, such as a Live Broadcast or Team Event.
- Reuse Settings: Copy the settings you’ve used in a previously created event.
- Edit settings according to the setup options you chose.
- Select Create to create your new event. The new event will be stored in your live events folder.
