How to use ZenVideo AI to ask questions about videos

Viewers can determine which videos support questions and answers by checking if the ZenVideo AI button is displayed under the video player.

How can I enable Ask AI on videos I upload?

Account Owners on select ZenVideo Enterprise plans can enable Ask AI on the team settings page. Learn how at ‘How can I enable or disable ZenVideo AI settings for my team account?’. 

Ask AI can be enabled on AI-eligible videos that are 45 minutes or less in length. 

All viewers, regardless of plan type, can ask questions about videos once this feature is enabled. 

How do I use Ask AI on a video on ZenVideo.com?

All viewers can use Ask AI on videos where the feature is enabled. Viewers who are logged in to ZenVideo.com can type in custom questions, while viewers who are not logged in can only select pre-generated questions. 

To use Ask AI on a video on ZenVideo: 

1.  Select the ZenVideo AI button under the video player and title of eligible videos to open the ZenVideo AI module.  

2. In the questions and answers box, select from a pre-generated question. You may have to wait a few moments for Ask AI to activate.
   
3. If you want to see questions in a supported language other than English, select the dropdown menu for the questions and select which language you'd like them to appear in. 
   
4. ZenVideo AI will generate the answer to your question if available. Select the play button under the generated answer to jump to the point in the video where the answer is given.
   
5.  If logged into ZenVideo, you can also type a custom question in the text box in any supported language. Select Enter on your keyboard to submit the question. 

How do I use Ask AI on an embedded video?

If a video uploaded to ZenVideo is embedded on another site and the video has Ask AI enabled, viewers can ask questions about the video. 

To ask a question in an embedded video. 

1. Hover over the video player and select the Ask ZenVideo AI button. 
2. Select a question from the expanded panel.
3. After the answer to your question is generated, select the play button under the answer to play the moment in the video that discusses the answer. 

What if a question cannot be answered in a video?

If an answer cannot be found in the video, the AI will respond with one of the following messages:

• Unfortunately, I can’t answer your question because your video transcript doesn’t have enough information.
• I don’t understand your question. Can you provide more details?
• Unfortunately, I can’t help you with this type of action yet. Feel free to ask me a different question.
• Unfortunately, I can’t answer this type of question yet. 

What if a video does not have the AI button?

If a video does not have the ZenVideo AI button under the player or in the player's top-right corner, you cannot ask questions about the video.
