About Streaming Analytics data
Streaming Analytics is an additional offering for OTT Enterprise customers, providing deeper and more actionable insights. We are currently not planning to remove our existing data analytics offerings. Both tools will be accessible from your OTT Admin. See a more detailed comparison of the legacy dashboard and the Streaming Analytics dashboard.
There may be some slight differences in the numbers between NPAW and ZenVideo’s existing analytics — this is normal when handling data at this scale with two separate platforms. NPAW is using the same data source as ZenVideo’s analytics, but different processing and calculations to provide more accurate results.
Data will be updated relatively in real time within NPAW dashboards — you can expect viewership data to populate after 2 hours and metadata (i.e., new content is added) to populate after 24 hours.
What are the main hubs in the dashboard?
Streaming Analytics is organized into three core hubs, each focusing on a different aspect of your OTT business.
Engagement Hub
Utilize the Engagement Hub to monitor how viewers engage with your content. Here, you can:
- Monitor watch time and view counts
- Identify top-performing content
- Understand viewing patterns and drop-offs
This helps you assess what’s resonating with your audience and refine your content strategy accordingly.
Business Hub
The Business Hub highlights your financial performance. It includes:
- Subscription sales metrics
- Total revenue trends
- Breakdown of active and new subscribers
This section helps you understand the revenue trends that impact your business, such as subscriber growth, transactions, and churn.
Audience Hub
The Audience Hub provides insight into who your viewers are and how they consume content. You can:
- See viewer locations and device types
- Monitor viewer behavior trends over time
- Identify consumption patterns by region or platform
Use this information to tailor your offerings and optimize user experience across platforms.
Using filters
The filters at the top enable you to adjust the entire page's data, including a custom date range. This empowers you to modify:
- Adjust date ranges
- View data by day, hour, or week
- Analyze short-term spikes or long-term trends
- Drill into granular periods for campaign or launch reviews
- Apply filters for any metric or audience segment
You can also use the Compare Dates feature to compare performance across different periods. This is helpful when evaluating the impact of changes, new campaigns, or product updates.
What additional capabilities does the Advanced dashboard offer?
The Advanced Streaming Dashboard includes all features from the Base version, plus the following capabilities as part of the Advanced Add-On:
- Viewer-level data access: Get access to detailed viewer-level metrics by unlocking advanced features within your 3 analytics hubs.
- Expanded audience segments: Analyze more granular audience segments, with deeper insights into viewing and engagement behavior.
- Customizable dashboards and reports: Build custom dashboards, audience segments, and performance reports tailored to your business needs.
- Automated reports.
- API access: Available upon request for integration with your internal tools and systems.
