How do I apply transitions in the editor?

This feature is included with all ZenVideo plans.

Transitions help you create a smoother and more polished video by visually blending one scene into another. This article summarises the steps to apply and customize transitions using ZenVideo’s built-in video editor.

How to apply transitions

1. Select the video you would like to add a transition to from your library.
2. Click on Editing > Video Editor from the left navigation bar.
3. At the bottom of the editor, you’ll see the timeline with your video clips laid out. Note that transitions can be applied only between media clips and not audio clips.
4. Hover between two clips. A small plus icon (+) or Add transition button will appear.
5. Click on Add transition. This will open a transitions panel on the left side of the screen.
6. Choose a transition type.
7. Adjust the duration and the direction of the transition.
   
8. Click on the transition point in the video to edit the transition.
9. You can delete your transition by clicking on the transition point and selecting Delete.
10. Once completed, save and publish your changes.
