If your ZenVideo account downgrades or lapses to a plan that does not include ZenVideo On Demand, and you don’t delete your VOD titles beforehand, a few things happen depending on which plan you downgrade to. This article discusses what happens to your content contained in a VOD title after downgrading and how to avoid and resolve unwanted consequences.
If you lapse to Free or Basic:
- You lose access to your videos attached to VOD titles, since most videos are moved to our archive storage for one year after you lapse.
- Your VOD titles will be unpublished and no longer available for purchase.
- Previous buyers will no longer be able to access their VOD purchase.
If you downgrade to Starter or Plus:
- Your videos may still be accessible, depending on the amount of storage you are using.
- Your VOD page will be unpublished and no longer available for purchase.
- Previous buyers can still access their VOD purchase, but only if you didn’t delete the VOD title before downgrading.
To avoid your videos becoming inaccessible, delete your VOD title before downgrading your account.
- This will unpair your content from the VOD title.
- It will also give your buyers a 30-day notice to download the content (if you allow it) or watch it before it’s no longer accessible.
If your account has already downgraded or lapsed and you are unable to access your VOD videos, you need to either:
- Re-upgrade your ZenVideo account to regain VOD access
- Contact support to have the VOD title deleted
