Accessing the web-based studio
You can access the web-based production studio after creating a live event or selecting a previously created event from your live events folder in your library.
Top navigation bar
The top navigation bar displays the following:
- Team - View your team that is working on your live event.
- Analytics - View real-time analytics for your event.
- Settings - Change the settings for your live event
- Chat - Monitor and engage with viewers through the chat.
- Share - Share the link to your stream.
- Embed - Embed your live event on an external website.
- Go Live - Launch your live event or switch the studio's production mode.
The stage
The stage is at the center of the web-based production tool. The stage displays the currently selected scene, as shown to your viewers.
Above the stage is the layout bar. Select the layout bar to choose the layout of your scene’s elements and speakers, or select Auto for the design to change automatically based on the production elements of your scene.
Scenes
Below the stage is the scenes panel. Learn how to add and manage scenes for your event at Creating and using scenes on a ZenVideo event.
Below the scenes panel is the control bar. You can use the control panel bar to select and control your audio input, your camera input, share your screen, or open the teleprompter.
Production elements toolbar
On the left-hand toolbar, you'll find various tools and production elements to help control and enhance your event.
- Speakers: Invite and manage the speakers who will be presenting at your event.
- Templates: Choose from various predefined layouts to enhance the visual presentation of your event.
- Media: Add videos, images, and slides to your event.
- Graphics: Add a lower-third overlay with information about the scene or the speaker
- Brand: Incorporate your brand identity elements, such as colors and logos.
- Q&A: Facilitate interaction by allowing viewers to submit questions during the livestream. You can moderate questions or allow anonymous Q&A.
- Polls: Create and conduct polls to engage your audience and collect real-time feedback.
Differences with other production modes
As mentioned, changing to a different production mode for your live event will update the web-based production environment accordingly.
- Pre-recorded event: Automatically go live with a pre-recorded segment.
- Recording only: Record a video without an audience.
- Use an external encoder: Go live with RTMP/RTMPS or SRT.
