Why is the embedded player displaying an error message?

If you see an error message in the embedded player, check your privacy settings.

  • Make sure you’ve allowed your website’s domain to embed your video.
  • Videos set to “Private” can only be seen by other team members on your ZenVideo account, even if they’re embedded elsewhere. Use "Unlisted" instead.

How can I customize the embedded player?

You can refer to ‘How to customize the embedded player’ for information about customization options for the player.

If you’re more comfortable with HTML, we have a reference of player parameters you can add to further customize the embedded player.

Why does the embedded player look different on my webpage?

The size and position of the player iframe can be influenced by the styling of your webpage. This is common when using pre-built themes or plugins in webpage builders such as WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace. If you are setting the dimensions in your embed code correctly, but the ZenVideo player is displaying differently, we suggest checking your webpage builder to see if any additional formatting is being applied to the player iframe.

Can I embed my video in PowerPoint?

Videos can only be embedded in specific versions of Microsoft PowerPoint. Read which versions are supported by Microsoft at 'Versions of PowerPoint that support online videos'. Microsoft also outlines how to insert a video into your PowerPoint presentation. 

Alternatively, you can download your video to your device and add that file to your PowerPoint presentation. Learn how to download ZenVideo videos at 'How to download a video'.

Can I embed my video using shared links on Android/iOS?

If you are trying to embed your videos using the shared links on Android / iOS applications, the link will direct you to the video page.

How can I see all of the domains I have enabled for my embedded video?

The embed domain list is scrollable, if you have more than 25 allow-listed domains, you can scroll to audit and manage for an individual asset. The most recently added domain is at the top of the list i.e. the domains are listed in descending order of recency.

I can't find the solution to my embedding issue, how can I get more help?

Contact our support team for any issues with your ZenVideo embed.

When contacting our support team for any embedding issues, include the following information in your support ticket:

  • URL of the embedded video
  • Link to the webpage where the video is embedded (along with any login information, if needed)
  • Method of embedding: Are you embedding the video using the HTML embed code or the video URL/direct file link?
